Mary Ellen Foster

Bio: Mary Ellen Foster is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow. The overall goal of her research is to develop artificial embodied characters that are able to engage in natural face-to-face conversation with human partners. Her research interests include human-robot interaction, social robotics, and multimodal interactive systems.


Manuel Giuliani

Kempten University of Applied Sciences, Germany

Bio: Manuel Giuliani is a Professor in Geriatronics at Kempten University of Applied Sciences. His research interests include social robotics, human-robot interaction, natural language processing, multimodal fusion, multimodal output generation, and robot architectures.


Ron Petrick

Department of Computer Science, Heriot-Watt University, United Kingdom

Bio: Ron Petrick is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Heriot-Watt University. He is also a member of the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics. His research interests include automated planning, cognitive robotics, and knowledge representation and reasoning, with particular interest in applications of planning to natural language dialogue, social robotics, and human-robot interaction.
